Regulated-enterprise AI service blueprint¶
Purpose¶
This blueprint provides a reusable architecture for an AI capability embedded in a regulated business process with clear accountability, controlled data and model supply chains, independent assurance, and operational evidence.
Control plane¶
The control plane maintains system inventory, approved use and risk tier, identities and policies, model/prompt/tool registries, evaluation thresholds, release authorization, supplier status, exceptions, and kill-switch authority.
Data plane¶
The data plane processes minimized task inputs through authorized context retrieval, an AI gateway, constrained orchestration, validated tools, deterministic business rules, human review where required, and protected output channels.
Assurance plane¶
The assurance plane collects requirements traceability, lineage, test results, model and system cards, red-team findings, security and privacy evidence, approvals, monitoring, complaints, incidents, and corrective actions.
Deployment constraints¶
- Separate experimentation, validation, and production environments.
- Route production model access through governed gateways.
- Prevent direct model execution of consequential transactions.
- Version and approve model, prompt, policy, knowledge, and tool changes.
- Define rollback, supplier exit, degraded mode, and retirement procedures.
- Reassess after material changes or evidence of differential impact.
